Heavily focused on excellent customer service, quality, regional and seasonal produce and ensuring as small a climate impact as possible.
The UFC operates a National Supply Partner Network that delivers an extensive range of the finest local, regional and exotic produce. Their suppliers range from second to third-generation family businesses across the UK. By joining the UFC as a consortium, these local suppliers are able to deliver nationally which means our clients are able to access the freshest British produce when in season.
Food miles can add up, so when we buy British sourced products, we can cut the need for imports and reduce our carbon footprint. Working with the UFC means our fruit and vegetables are sourced from their network of local and regional suppliers, helping us to support sustainable farming. In addition, when produce is not in season within the UK or of course items which are always procured from further away, the UFC ensures that their suppliers are undertaking the lowest possible environmental impact methods to ensure our model remains as sustainable as possible.
As we have seen in 2020, time of crisis can produce many challenges for supply chain. Working with the UFC not only allows us to support British farming, but our supply chain is more secure as we don’t have to rely on imports. This means our clients have continuity of supply - whilst never comprising on quality.
