At Foodbuy, we’re passionate about working towards a sustainable future. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to have our work pioneering sustainable causes across our supply chains recognised by The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
CIPS invited our Head of Marketing & Communications, Matthew Wall and Compass Group's Global Responsible Sourcing Lead, Laura Neville, to an interview to talk about our award-winning submission and why we think we’ve been chosen for this prestigious award.
Our Head of Marketing & Communications, Matthew Wall comments on how we pulled the award-winning submission together: “Collaboration between procurement and marketing was one of the key factors. What worked really well for us was having a subject matter expert from procurement and our marketing team to craft the story and sell our submission in the greatest light - this was truly a collaborative effort”.
Compass Group’s Global Responsible Sourcing Lead, Laura Neville talks about our buy social journey, “To demonstrate our commitment to social procurement, we’ve become the first food procurement organisation in the food and drinks sector to join the Buy Social Corporate Challenge. This is a ground-breaking initiative which sees high profile companies from a variety of different sectors working together to promote the use of social enterprises within their business”.
This is just the beginning for Foodbuy. We’ve committed to growing this area of our business with at least one social enterprise per buying category. When we decide to buy social, we’re helping to build a better world, and this is something we’re determined to lead the way on.
