We’re very proud to announce we have been shortlisted as a finalist at the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Supply Management Awards 2019 in the category of Large Procurement Team of the Year.
Widely respected as the benchmark for excellence, being shortlisted for a CIPS Supply Management Award is a prestigious achievement for organisations working in procurement and supply chain.
We have been shortlisted after delivering our strongest ever annual performance; financially, culturally and strategically. Financially, the team’s managed spend grew by 11% through winning new business and increasing our existing clients’ sales. Culturally, the team refined the Foodbuy vision developed company values, and agreed its own shared purpose and team charter. Strategically, the team identified four priorities for its largest client, that if delivered, would give the business the best chance of success.
Ian Murphy, Managing Director of Foodbuy, said: “Being shortlisted for the CIPS Supply Management Awards is a huge achievement and great recognition for our teams after delivering our strongest ever annual performance. We are a young company so to be recognised in this way is a great testament to the talent of our people and our ability to deliver savings for our clients”.
We’re in great company with some of the world’s most influential brands like Jaguar Land Rover and J Sainsbury also being shortlisted for Large Procurement Team of the Year.
Entries will now be reviewed by a judging panel consisting of representatives from CIPS and Supply Management, as well as other well-respected procurement leaders from across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, 11 September at Grosvenor House in London where over 1,000 procurement professionals are expected to gather to celebrate the excellent work that has taken place across the procurement and supply chain industry in the last 12 months.
