It’s all thanks to our work pioneering sustainable causes throughout our supply chains, most notably with social enterprises. In the last year alone, we’ve spent more than £2.1 million with over 20 different social enterprises, as well as helping our clients to source more sustainably and socially through a number of different social value initiatives.
Widely respected as the benchmark for excellence, being shortlisted for a CIPS Excellence in Procurement Award is a prestigious achievement for organisations working in procurement and supply chain. We’re in the running for two award categories, the ‘Best Initiative to Deliver Social Value Through Procurement', and the 'Best Sustainability Project of The Year'.
Ian Murphy MCIPS, Managing Director of Foodbuy, said: “I’m incredibly proud that Foodbuy has been shortlisted for two CIPS Excellence in Procurement Awards. I’ve been overwhelmed by the way the Foodbuy team has rallied behind our sustainability and social value initiatives. Winning a CIPS Award really is the true pinnacle for anyone in our profession, so to have the team’s work recognised on a global scale would mean the world to all of us.”
