Serving Up Traceability | Food Forensics
We know that there is a real demand from consumers to know the origin of their food and drinks and the journey their products have been on. That’s why we’ve partnered with Food Forensics, a leading UKAS accredited food testing laboratory in the UK.
The partnership will see Food Forensics working with us to verify the authenticity and country of origin of the food and beverages we purchase through chemical and microbiological testing.
In the non-food space, Food Forensics will also be able to identify the origin of textiles in our uniforms. This will be a key tool in supply chain transparency and identifying human-rights risks.

Better Farming For All | SA Exchange
In partnership with the Soil Association Exchange (SAX), we are supporting and rewarding supplier farms to transition to more regenerative and sustainable methods of agriculture.
As part of the initial pilot, five farms will receive an ecological baseline of their levels of biodiversity, water quality, carbon sequestration and soil health with a detailed action plan for improvements. Participating farmers are rewarded financially for the changes they implement so that taking the leap is not a burden on their business.
The SAX online platform uses cutting edge science and data to map the impact of farms against key environmental metrics. And their team of agricultural advisors work in partnership with farmers to help businesses prosper, in turn allowing them to be able to make the most of their practices and produce.
Our Head of Sustainability and Compliance at Foodbuy, Anne Simonnet, recently spent two days completing a comprehensive soil sampling assessment on one of our pilot farms, doing bird survey, water testing and much more.
“The landscape of farming is changing forever, and we have a once in a generation opportunity to transform the UK’s farming and land management practices.
Enrolling in the SA Exchange is, for us, an important and credible step in participating to that revolution in helping our farmers change their practices and more importantly mindset. Getting stuck in is the best way to start understanding all the different components of what we need to be looking in terms of soil health and biodiversity on a farm. I am very grateful the program to allow me to do just that.”
