Foodbuy welcomes Carl Howells as the New Commercial Director of Hospitality
Outstanding suppliers celebrated at Foodbuy Conference and Awards

Foodbuy, a leading food and beverage procurement company, held its inaugural Foodbuy Conference at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London last week.
Taking place over February 21 and 22, the conference included presentations, workshops and a Supplier Expo where 135 different suppliers presented products and services to more than 600 attendees.
With £1bn of managed spend, Foodbuy brings together the widest range of foodservice and hospitality clients to buy food, and everything associated with it. The Foodbuy Conference provided suppliers and clients with insight into the business and what Foodbuy has planned for the year ahead. As well as hearing from the organisation’s executive team, the Foodbuy Conference enabled attendees to further understand the journey Foodbuy is on as a business.
A gala dinner and awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Rob Beckett. The ceremony provided an opportunity for Foodbuy to recognise and celebrate the excellent contribution its suppliers have made to the business in the previous year.
In total, seven suppliers were recognised on the evening. The full breakdown of winners for this year’s awards was as follows:
- Supplier of the Year – Bunzl
- Supporting Business Growth – Coca Cola Enterprises
- Innovation – Molson Coors
- Implementation – Well Dressed Tables
- Corporate Responsibility - Oritain
- Supply Chain – Vestey Foods
- New Supplier of the Year - Clipper Tea
